Fayetteville State University Homecoming – Go Broncos!
Fayetteville, NC is just up the road from Greensboro, NC but we had never been. We had heard about the home of Fort Bragg, Pope Air Force Base, Methodist University, and Fayetteville State University but as was said in a previous post never had the occasion to visit. That was until the homecoming of the Fayetteville State University. FSU Alumni and Bronco supporters from far and wide descended upon the town to re-visit the campus, see old friends, reminisce, cheer, and show their Bronco Pride. After the football game many of the Alumni continued their celebration at the various homecoming parties in the area including the one we attended, which was held at the Crown Expo Center (aka Crown Center or Crown Coliseum) located at 1960 Coliseum Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28306.
The party was the encore to the previous year’s party sponsored by several members of the FSU chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Once the dance party got started we could clearly see why folks would want an encore. With over a thousand guests in attendance, the crowd certainly looked like they had a great time and wanted more than the time would allow…So much so, that when the party ended at 3:00 am several hundred guests were asked to leave.
